Plunging into the back end of LD weekend I returned to the farm stand I spent a little too much time at yesterday.  It wasn’t my fault, some guy with similar feelings about peppers  lured me into a “one up”  conversation over  the best thing to do with Jalepeños.  He stuffs them with cheese, wraps them in bacon and grills them.  That actually sounds like a perfectly respectful way to go at it.  Last year my pepper crop was hefty so I made the classic poppers, stuffed with cheese, lightly breaded and fried.  Anyway, they obviously thought it was time for us to leave after we exhausted the number of ways to pickle a cherry pepper loitering by the register.   Today I made it quick with a bag of local corn.  This has been a great season for corn so I keep it simple.  Boil it for no more than 7 minutes and slather it with butter.  We’re havin a ball!
