Macoun

In the dust of the passing summer I find myself unfulfilled and uncertain.  Although some summers produce mediocre tomatoes and boring peaches, I can always count on the blessed apples of Fall to lift my spirit.  The first bite of Autumn should always be into a Macoun.  Religiously it is crisp, sweet, tart and  refreshing.  That first bite inevitably lifts me through the seasonal decline.  While some seek solace through sermons and prayers I look to the good fruit of Fall to make me feel whole again.  I believe.

How do you like them apples?
