turkey and swiss

April 20, 2010

Sorry, no sandwich for lunch today.  This pasta dish is all about the Swiss Chard.  I am drawn to the leafy greens section of the grocery store, always wondering what to do with those over-sized chenopods (Wikipedia).  They have to be the healthiest items of food in the entire store.  Most of the time I just saute them slightly and dress with a little lemon or vinegar.  But today my chard is wedged between ground turkey and whole wheat penne forcing any sandwich lover to rethink their midday meal.

    love the clever title.

debated taking the ground turkey out of the freezer this AM–but wasn’t committed to my idea of a black bean turkey burger at 6AM—had I seen this earlier, I would no doubt of thawed the turkey. have some kale at home, wondering if the result would be as pleasing.

forget lunch, looks like the perfect breakfast right now. great, enticing photo–making me hungry, love the sheen on the chard.

The can of lentil soup I brought for lunch seems so dull right about now…

After reading and observing all the blogs on this page, I savored the thought of a future–my suicide plans are now on hold for there is something to live for: your unique genius. Fortunately for me, this will continue to be a melodramatic experience (the only way I can live since happiness is bullshit) as I observe unparallelled writing and creations only to know that most of the world will never witness it. Eventually, someone will plagiarize your ass to the point of permanent nausea as they flaunt their thousand dollar casseroles. Good times ahead!! Love, Boilboy

As my depression crescendos into a state of complete immobilzation, I made a last gasp attempt for relief by seeking out a new entry by foodextrovert…to my accelrating demise, nothing was to be found and thus I wallow in a sea of void…no humor, no pics, no stimulating anecdotes…just a barren ocean with nothing more than an oil slick…lifeless, still, rotting. To whom shall I turn?
