adios

August 25, 2010

At last.  Solid food has entered my mouth.  Well, almost solid. Finishing another dance with the Master, we said goodbye to the lemon potion and treated  ourselves to a nutrient-filled crock of organic vegetable soup.  Starting with a  mirepoix  and finishing with red swiss chard, I tossed in potatoes, mushrooms, snap beans, scallions,  more carrots and parsley.  This is what the body craves when brought to the brink of starvation.

The only Master I know is the one who could make starvation seem appealing (“how’s your onion?”), knowing what is on the other end…another ‘master’ piece of succulence from d’buff. With the dish above, it looks like the cleansing has continued except with a happier tongue and belly. Saturday, Sept 25 will be an oppportunity for the freshest fish dish–please find a domicile 🙂
