morning do

Who doesn’t like a waffle?  It’s not something that you wake up on a Monday morning and just decide to make though.  It’s quite a “to do”.  If you’ve ever made proper waffles, you’ll know what I’m talking about.  First, the yeast needs to be proofed with warm water in bowl number 1.  Then, add flour and salt into bowl number 2.  After yeast has proofed for five to ten minutes, mix sugar, milk, egg, vanilla, melted butter and some oil in bowl number 1.  Add contents of bowl 1 to bowl 2 and combine.  Egg whites get whipped stiff in bowl 3.  (That’s why grandma had one strong arm.)  Fold egg whites into bowl 2.  Whew!  Now this is annoying;  The batter really needs to sit for 45 minutes to an hour.  Remember to stir every 15 minutes or so.  At this point a deluxe electric waffle iron comes in handy.  The finish can be see above.  Rest assured, if someone makes you waffles, they are in love.

Waffles are my all time favorite breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, dessert food. I appreciate the good ones I’ve eaten so much more after reading how much work goes into making them. Your roommate is one lucky chick.
