I’m on a first name basis with many of the people who work at the supermarket.  That’s because I’m there almost daily, sometimes twice in a day.  It seems like the butcher, Chris, doesn’t mind our conversations about the eating habits of  Australian lamb.  Although I do get a puzzled look from Angelo, in Produce, when I ask who really knows if the organic bananas are grown organically.  So when the Avocados are at peak ripeness in the dead of winter, I’m on it.  It would be nice to “Get Away“, but unfortunately this salad of avocado, red  beans, pepitas, jalapeños, cilantro, grape tomatoes with a lime vinaigrette is the closest I’m going to get for now.  Maybe I spent a little too much time in the sun…
